West Dunbartonshire HSCP Health Improvement Team is coordinating the development and implementation of the Community Planning West Dunbartonshire (CPWD) Substance Use Prevention Strategy on behalf of the CPWD Safe Delivery and Improvement Group. Progress is also reported to the West Dunbartonshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership. This strategy contributes to the West Dunbartonshire Plan for Place (Community Planning West Dunbartonshire Local Outcome Improvement Plan), which contains the strategic priority “A Safe West Dunbartonshire” and the strategic outcome “Residents live in positive, health promoting local environments where the impact of alcohol and drugs is addressed”. The Substance Use Prevention Strategy outlines the “whole systems approach” adopted in developing work to achieve this outcome.
