WDHSCP is pleased to support the Scottish Government with its national campaign to identify unpaid carers in the local community. This campaign is aimed at all unpaid carers caring for someone during the current pandemic and hopes to highlight to carers that there is support available to help them out in their caring role. The campaign hopes that unpaid carers will come forward and identify themselves and then that local services and/or the HSCP can work with the carer to put appropriate supports in place as appropriate to each individual case. Many carers do not see themselves as carers and often struggle on alone not realising that they are entitled to help. This campaign hopes to break down these barriers.
