Scottish Government Guidance re Self Directed Support
Following original Scottish Government guidance on Self Directed Support (SDS) published in May 2020, the revised guidance focuses on the changing circumstances of the pandemic, and how SDS can be used flexibly in response to the pandemic. It includes updates on employment of family and friends as Personal Assistants, inclusion of the SDS Framework of Standards, maximising flexibility of budgets, enabling worker autonomy, people at high risk, Social Care Staff Support Fund, Death in Service, Personal Assistants Employers Handbook, self-isolation and fair pay for PAs.
