West Dunbartonshire has a Breastfeeding Support Team who provide support and information to ante-natal and post-natal women and their families. They offer parents extra help with breastfeeding to complement the existing support given by the midwifery & health visiting teams.
In addition to offering telephone support and home visits, breastfeeding support groups are held at:
Dumbarton Library, Strathleven Place, Dumbarton - Every Tuesday at 1:15pm - 3pm
Clydebank Library, Dumbarton Rd, Clydebank G81 1XH - Every Thursday 1pm-3pm
Mums can access information, support and encouragement at the same time as meeting other breastfeeding mums in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The service can be accessed via the Midwifery and Health Visiting Teams or by mums and families directly.
