Social Work Services provide services to children, young people and their families and carers until they are 18 years old, however some services continue to be provided beyond this due to the specific needs of some young people.
Duties include child protection, services to the Children’s Hearing, support of children and young people looked after at home and away from home and support to vulnerable families with issues such as addictions, mental health difficulties and disability.
