The West Dunbartonshire Health Improvement Team has developed an interactive mapping tool to support our communities to age well. More of us are living with long-term health conditions as we age. This tool is designed to help connect you with local groups and activities to help you live well, build confidence and remain independent for longer.
The pillars of healthy ageing are:
- Physical activity - move more, sit less, build strength
- Nutrition and hydration - eat well, drink plenty of water and fluids
- Social connections - build and maintain relationships to protect against loneliness and depression
- Thinking skills - learning new skills, play games, puzzles
The tool lists details of activities and groups which support each pillar together with contact and booking information. We would like to thank West Dunbartonshire CVS and the Community Link Workers for their assistance with the development of this tool. If you would like to give us your feedback on the tool, please email ggc.wdhscp.admin@nhs.scot
