“Two public information films have been made to help promote awareness of the scale and quality of local services both in the hospital and in the community.

The films, made by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s communications team, compliment a campaign by West Dunbartonshire Council to promote the Vale of Leven Hospital and, in particular, the Minor Injuries Unit.

It’s vital that people know how best to access hospital and health and social care services – and when it’s right to attend the local minor injury unit or go straight to a hospital with an Accident and Emergency unit.

The films capture the pride and dedication of local staff in a really positive way.

The hospital film features a charge nurse at the Vale’s Acute Medical Receiving Unit.

The Health and Social Care Partnership film follows the theme - “what did you do today?” and features a number of staff including a social worker, physiotherapist and health visitor”

This highlights the integrated approach to the delivery of community services in West Dunbartonshire and the breadth of services available to our residents.
